During the recession of 2009, millions of people found themselves without a job. Pioneer Press interviewed four individuals from Minnesota during that time and reported on their stories. Recently, they revisited the situations of those four individuals. Of the four, three were able to locate new employment, but only after a lengthy period of time. Working temporary jobs, each of them was finally able to secure permanent employment. Their job-search lasted from several months to over two years. The fourth, a 64-year old who was let go 6 months prior to her retirement, committed suicide.
