When Brian Robertson arrived in the states after a 2 year stint in Vietnam, he says he was advised to shed his camoflogue to avoid harrassment. “There were people holding up signs you know baby killers and throwing eggs and tomatoes at us and protesting against us,” he said. That unwelcome return filled this Spartanburg native with a sense of shame that lasted almost two decades.
