More than 3,400 job openings will be available at the “Meet Your Next Employer” job fair.More than 60 businesses will be on hand to represent more than 3,400 open positions.Admission for potential job candidates is free. In addition, there is still time for businesses to secure a free booth at the event.The job fair is hosted by the city of Peoria’s Economic Development Services in partnership with the City of Avondale, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Phoenix, Surprise, Tolleson and the Town of Buckeye.Opportunities for job seekers include one-on-one conversations with prospective employers, mini workshops including “Interviewing Skills” by Maricopa Workforce Connections, “Dress for Success on a Dime” presentation by Goodwill and “Resume Writing Tips” by Glendale Community College.A wide range of jobs will be hired for, including: public safety, teaching, banking; management, nursing, marketing, security, food and beverage; hotel management and many others.The Small Business Development Center, Small Business Association, Greater Phoenix SCORE and the Arizona Commerce Authority also will be on hand to discuss how to take those first steps in opening up a small business.I request you to asked to register at www.peoriaed.com/jobfair.asp to receive more information on the companies attending and the types of opportunities available.
